Meet the Goats: Our Herd's Personalities

If you've ever visited Jam Mission, you know that our goats are the real stars of the show. Each one has a distinct personality — some are bold and nosy, while others hang back and watch from a distance. Today we want to introduce you to a few of the characters that make our farm so special.

Clover — The Greeter

Goats greeting visitors at the fence

Clover is always the first to the fence when visitors arrive. This brown-and-white Nigerian Dwarf has zero concept of personal space and will happily stick her nose into your pockets looking for treats. She's been with us since the very beginning, and her friendly nature sets the tone for the whole petting zoo experience.

Maple — The Gentle Giant

White goat Maple

Our biggest goat, Maple is a white Saanen who looks imposing but is actually the gentlest soul on the farm. She loves chin scratches more than food (which is saying a lot for a goat) and has a calming effect on the younger animals. Kids who are nervous around animals always end up gravitating toward Maple.

The Twins — Acorn and Hazel

Born last spring, these two are inseparable troublemakers. They've figured out how to open gate latches and regularly appear in places they're not supposed to be. Despite their mischief, they're incredibly sweet and have become favorites with our regular visitors.

Come See Them Yourself

Photos don't do our herd justice — you really need to meet them in person. Our petting zoo is open for visits, and you can book a session through our booking page. We also offer goat yoga workshops in the warmer months, which is exactly as fun (and chaotic) as it sounds.

We'll be doing more animal spotlights in the coming weeks, including our turkeys, sheep, and the spectacular rooster who thinks he runs the whole operation. Stay tuned!
